ruce Richardson received a Bachelor of Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a Juris Doctorate from the City University of New York School of Law. Bruce Richardson has extensive criminal defense experience and was a criminal defense attorney for the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn. He ran the law library at the largest jail on Rikers Island in NYC where he assisted inmates with drafting motions, writs, appeals, Article 78 proceedings and appellate briefs. While at Rikers Island, he was instrumental in gaining the dismissal of charges at trial of an inmate facing life in prison who was falsely accused of committing armed robbery. He taught a legal research class and also helped inmates successfully litigate Title VII §1983 civil rights violations against New York City and New York State.

Bruce Richardson also worked alongside a former Bronx Supreme Court Justice where he assisted in all levels of high level felony criminal defense work and civil litigation. Bruce Richardson has participated in numerous felony and misdemeanor trials including, murder, rape, robbery, weapons possession and drug possession charges. He has also engaged in extensive civil litigation and filed numerous false arrest, abuse, assault, misconduct and due process violation actions against various City and State agencies.

Bruce Richardson is well versed in residential real estate closings and has conducted numerous real estate transactions. He has also counseled and represented individuals in mortgage foreclosure actions. He has sought remedies best suited for his client’s needs including loan modifications, short sales and mortgage foreclosure defense litigation.

Bruce Richardson was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
